After a day of temples we decided to hit the countryside & what better way than on a Quad!
After a little test drive we are on go!
Our guide was on an off-road bike followed by Kate then Mark.
First we stopped at a local orphanage where we were shown round by these 2 lads, they are 14 & 18.
It was a Sunday so no school today! The kids were eating fruits off the trees which we got to sample a bit of :-)
All the way round our trip the local kids in the villages ran after the bikes to wave at us - so cute!!
Mark had some fun waiting till the last minute them letting them chase him lol!!
As we came round the corner these local farmers were coming at us- a step back in time!
This guy waved at Mark and told him he loved him lol!!
The people were incredibly happy and friendly and always smiling!
The countryside was beautiful and all the villages we went through made it feel like we got to see a bit of the real Cambodia!
We got to do a bit more challenging off roading around these rice fields which was a good laugh!
All the villagers have a few livestock normally tied to their property or nearby, this buffalo seems to have a good patch all to himself.
Another great adventure for us and more chance to see life in Cambodia for the everyday villagers who continue to inspire us!
