The next morning we catch the catamaran again and head further away from the mainland to The Blue Lagoon Resort. This is the most expensive of the places we have stayed and its not hard to see why!
We arrive at lunchtime which is just fantastic! Its a beautiful island with a stunning sandy white beach.
Its lovely to sit back and chill & we really are miles away from anywhere!
We spend some time in the sun with the resident dog 'Charlie'.
The village choir come and sing to us which is great.
Later the Kava begins to flow which is made by the locals in the large Kava bowls. Kava is made from the roots of plants and has anaesthetic and sedative effects. It is made in the big bowl and then drank from little tiny bowls. Tradition is that you sit in a circle and drink the Kava and you must finish the bowl you are passed. This is easier said then done considering that the chalky white Kava is not great tasting!
