Sydney Bridge Climb

Need we say more!

A walk past Darling Harbour on route to the bridge climb.

We aimed to climb the bridge in time for sunset.  You get harnessed up and climb up 5 steep ladders before reaching the arch and then to the top where you can see the flags.  At the top the heavens opened & electrical storm began, we got down pretty fast, scary!

Sydney New Years day !

After making it home safe we wandered into town for some pub lunch at Lord Nelsons.

A view of Sydney at dusk from the opera house.

The Bridge Lit up at night.

We caught the Ferry to Luna Fun Park!

Melbourne

We had a flying visit to Melbourne- literally overnight so we tried to cram in as much as possible.  The free  city tram certainly helped with this as we were tired after a 3am start and 2 hour time difference.  This is Melbourne Harbour with a view over the city.

Melbourne has a fabulous market called Queen Victoria Market - it sell everything from Fish, Meat , Veg, cheeses, chocolate, clothes, toiletries to clothes to Santa hats!!  It was even on the news on Christmas Eve as over 60,000 people were expected to visit for their  Christmas lunch BBQ  bits - it was Chaos!

This is our hostel in Melbourne, its in the old Salvation Army building - not bad hey!
