Full Moon Party 2011

We headed for the Full Moon Party hoping that the cloud would clear and the rain stop which it did!!

For the people with not many brain cells they can join in with the fire skipping - a few burnt legs  lol!!

We eventually decided if we can't beat them - join them!

The fluorescent body painting started!!

This is the view from 'Rock Bar' - you can see all the party goers on the beach and even in the sea!!

So we can see in the dark :-)

Ok so now we are getting alittle too much into the painting - and who says we're not down with the kids!

Ko Pha Ngan

A little simpler than our last accommodation but lovely all the same we had 4 nights in these bungalows.

The rain had arrived and look set to stay for the next 3 days!!

Not much to do other than chill and watch this monkey at work!

The Monkey goes up the trees and throws the coconuts down for the man below lol!

The Crib

We splashed out for 2 nights to get some top notch accommodation,

we hadn't expected it to be this amazing!

You can imagine our delight when we got here!!

See the pretty swans made from towels and fresh flowers on the bed

and the huge plasma screen tv !

Yes it is a private infinity pool!!

With Sea views lol!!

A bit of sunshine - what more can we ask for!!

Well maybe a couple more pools would be nice lol!!

Koh Samui

We hired a moped and went off to find Samui's more secluded beaches and  came across this beautiful beach!

We visited a waterfall and you could  do an elephant trek to the top.

He looks tired after along day at work :-(

We opted to walk, you can just see the waterfall in the distance.

After all that walking we definitely deserved a chocolate & banana pancake!

We went in search of some well known rock formations on the Island lol!

Phuket

Welcome to Costa del Phuket!

We felt obliged !

Scream if you wanna go faster (or slower) lol!

After much persuasion, this guy managed to steal Marks heart and he bought a lantern -aahh

Nice way to end the day and also our last sunset before we head East to Koh Samui  x

Koh Phi Phi

The viewpoint over Phi Phi Island which is just stunning.  We arrived at the top of this viewpoint covered in sweat as we accidentally went the long way round, as we found out when we got to the top to be greeted by a crowd of unsweaty people!!

The town is literally the band of land in between the 2 beaches.

You can imagine the damage from the tsunami in 2004.

We took a  long boat for some snorkeling along the way to the famous 'beach'

This is Maya beach where the 'The Beach' was filmed , unfortunately Mark is no Leonardo De Caprio- but he'll do lol :-)

Any volunteers? In case your wondering a 'bucket' is a  a treacherous concoction of booze mostly Sam song (rum), the good news is you can build sand castles with your bucket afterwards :-)

Round 1,  he got knocked out in the 3rd round and there was plenty of volunteers as well!!

Finish off the night as you do in Thailand with some fire-throwing!

Koh Lanta

We arrived at Koh Lanta port and this was the transport option!

He agreed to take us to find some suitable lodgings.

We found this little bungalow, great price, great location and Mark had some of his favourite time - hammock time lol!

We rented a  moped  for the day to do some exploring around Koh Lanta.  we went to Ko Lanta Old town in search of a well known hammock shop!

It looks like someone beat us too it - how cute :-)

Later  we chilled on the beach with some Chang time! Marks top says it all.

Koh Ngai - Trang Islands

On our first night on Koh Ngai we had a pretty awesome thunder and lightening show with front row seats for a little while- what bad weather following us??

The next day we walked along this so called footpath to the next beach so Mark could get a cheaper longtail boat! (who says said Marks tight arguing over 60p lol)

This is the Longtail boat in question.

We went to Emerald cave which is an chimney opening with a sandy beach after a pitch back 80m swim, you can just make the opening out where the people are swimming.

Who said it was a good idea to save money - slight engine malfunction!

Alls good with the engine heading for some snorkeling.

I'm sure you will agree not a bad spot to put a swing.

This is a popular wedding choice - we wonder why?
